THE ORIGINS OF ALPINE


"In 1984 I was retained to write an engineering study for another company. Unfortunately their product didn't work. I saw how to fix it and offered to help but they said no, so I built it myself."

The Challenges of Getting Started
"The first units were made in my home. My idea was to sell through traditional distribution to commercial accounts. I had no idea how difficult it would be to bring a totally new technology to the marketplace. After trying all conventional sales approaches my daughter Karen, who built the units, and I had only a small amount of business." "We would never have survived to become a large company without Conroe Erickson."

Conroe: "My wife died in 1986 from kidney cancer and it was advice from her doctor that sparked my interest in Bill's machine."
